Event description

Country Music great, Troy Cassar-Daley is coming to the Servies to perform on Friday, 22nd March 2019.

Doors open at 7:30pm. Show starts at 8:00pm.

With numerous gold and platinum records, Troy has achieved a staggering 31 Number 1 chart singles, all of which are collected on his new compilation album Greatest Hits – along with signature album tracks and two brand new TCD originals.  The forty-two songs contained within Greatest Hits have been the soundtrack to the everyday triumphs, struggles and good times of Australians from the city to the outback.

“Doing an acoustic show of greatest hits mixed with stories of my life and musical journey will be very special. As an artist you can’t get a more intimate experience with an audience than this style of show. It will be a musical adventure showing you how the songs sounded the day they were born, this to me is the purest way to hear them and I can’t wait to share them with you.” TCD

Troy’s special guest for the Greatest Hits Acoustic Tour is Jem Cassar-Daley who will open the show for her Dad every night.  17-year-old Jem, a talented singer and pianist, is taking a gap year in 2019.

In the end, as at the beginning, it all comes back to the bare essentials, one man – one compelling performer and stunning songwriter – and a guitar.

The vast majority of the songs on Greatest Hits were born with these elements, the national acoustic tour will present his songs and the stories behind them in their most pure form.

Troy Cassar-Daley has come a long way from the twelve-year-old boy from Grafton busking on Peel St at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Even as he expands the boundaries of what he is capable of musically, as the diverse list of collaborators grows longer, as his swag of awards and size of his crowds has grown and grown, the innate integrity and charisma powering his music has always remained a steady true north. As he once sang, “I live the tales I tell”.
