On behalf of the Finance Discipline Group in the UTS Business School, Dr Gerhard Hambusch, CFA, invites you to attend this unique Masterclass. David Langford (Managing Director at Long Lake Research Group), Paul McTaggart (Managing Director at Blackpeak Capital) and Tim King, CFA (Director at Adamantem Capital) will explore purpose, skills, history and ESG related topics in financial analysis.

SPEAKERS

Paul McTaggart, Managing Director of Blackpeak Capital
Paul McTaggart joined Blackpeak Capital in mid-2017 and has over 35 years’ experience in the metals and mining sector - principally in corporate finance, advisory and equity research. Former roles include Managing Director, Head of Global Metals and Commodities and Co-Head of Research with Credit Suisse, Managing Director roles with both HSBC and Morgan Stanley and Head of Natural Resources with Ord Minnett, Senior Manager Corporate Advisory with Rothschild Australia and Manager, Corporate Advisory with Deloitte. 
Paul started his career as a BHP engineer working in the both the steel and minerals businesses of BHP. Paul has been a top rated equity analyst in both Australia and the UK and has driven major resource sector capital raisings in Australia, Asia and Europe.

Tim King, Director, Adamantem Capital
Tim King is a Director of Responsible Investing at Adamantem Capital. He has worked in international capital markets for more than 25 years and has extensive company research and company engagement experience.
Tim was Head of Company & ESG Research for Colonial First State Global Asset Management’s Australian Equities (Core) Fund from 2016 to 2018. Prior to this he was Head of Advisory for governance research firm Regnan and Head of Company & ESG Research for Deutsche Bank from 2003 -2013.
Tim is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has received an Advanced Certificate in International Economics and Finance from the Kiel Institute of World Economics in Germany and both a Master of Arts with First Class Honours (Economics) and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

David Langford, Managing Director, Longlake Research
David is Managing Director and Chief Investment Analyst at Long Lake Research Group, an independent investment research and advisory firm focused on corporate agility and capital management. He is an Adjunct Professor at UTS Business School where he provides analytical and strategic coaching in entrepreneurship and executive MBA programs. David is also a member of the UTS Faculty of Science Dean's Advisory Board and UTS Business School Advanced MBA Advisory Board.  David has spent over 20 years advising Australian and global institutional investors and corporations. He is a long-standing researcher and independent thinker in the fields of telecoms, media and technology, where innovation and global change dominate value creation. He has held analytical and leadership roles in some of Australia’s largest corporations and Wall Street investment banks. David's background includes roles as General Manager - Corporate Analysis at Telstra, Senior Communications Analyst at Morgan Stanley and Head of Equity Research at Lehman Brothers and ING Investment Management.  David has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Master of Business (Accounting & Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA).
