UTS Blake Library: starting a new chapter

You are invited to mark the reopening of the UTS Blake Library in UTS Central.

The event will be attended by Emeritus Professor Tony Blake, of whom the Library is named, as a special guest of Vice-Chancellor Attila Brungs and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Shirley Alexander with the occasion being marked by the ringing of the bell outside the Haymarket library. The event will conclude with afternoon tea outside the new UTS Blake Library in UTS Central (CB02).

Note: Attendees are invited to walk to the new UTS Blake Library in UTS Central (CB02) during the event. Afternoon tea will be served in the Library's exhibition space (CB02.07) before the events conclusion.

In conjunction with the Library's relocation and this event, staff and students are encouraged to contribute to a time capsule that will be 'buried' in the Library Retrieval System (LRS) and remain unopened for 50 years. The time capsule will be on display at the Library's entrance, Level 7 of UTS Central from 25 November. Further details on the time capsule are available on the UTS website.
