In 2019, the Australian government combined the arts and infrastructure portfolios, raising questions about the future of creative industries in Australia.  

At the gateway of Ultimo’s creative precinct, UTS is exploring the opportunities that emerging visualisation technologies offer. With expertise in animation, visualisation, VFX and gaming, UTS is promoting the conversation about this emerging economy. 

Join international and UTS experts to explore how the intersection of these technologies provide unique entrepreneurial opportunities in a rapidly developing global market. 

Hear from highly respected voices in the industry, including: 

  • Leading academic in digital simulation and imaging industries Dr Leon Gurevitch (Victoria University of Wellington) 
  • Animation and VFX expert Matt Estela (UTS Animal Logic Academy), leading expert in VFX software Houdini  
  • Founder and creative enterprise expert Kristy Grant, Director of Miramar Creative and New Zealand Creative
  • Professor Margaret Maile Petty, Executive Director of the UTS Innovation & Entrepreneurship Unit
