WA Black Dog Ride to the Red Centre 2020
Black Dog Ride to the Red Centre aims to start a national conversation about depression and suicide prevention. Help
us get the country talking and join us on this epic journey to the beautiful red centre of our great country.
We will have ride groups from all states and territories of Australia travelling to meet up at our final destination,
Alice Springs NT.

Ride Registration
Registrations to ride all the way to Alice Springs with Black Dog Ride are strictly limited. Registrations close when all places are filled, or at 5pm AEST 31st July 2020.
Registration for the full Black Dog Ride, Red Centre 2020 includes:
- Entry and participation in the fully organised Ride
- Back up of a Support Vehicle en route to Alice Springs
- Commemorative Red Centre 2020, 10 year anniversary cloth patch, small round sticker and two large stickers
- Commemorative Red Centre 2020, 10 year anniversary lapel pin
- Commemorative Red Centre 2020, 10 year anniversary T Shirt
- Entry and participation in the Alice Springs all states group ride, Saturday morning, 22nd August
- Black Dog Ride Red Centre 2020, 10 year anniversary celebration dinner, Saturday 22nd August (drinks not included)
Ride Itinerary
The detailed ride itinerary and accommodation options will be sent to you in early 2020. Please do not book
accommodation until you receive that update, as we will have some suggestions for each
stop. That helps keep everyone together as well.
The broad itinerary for this ride is as follows.
Check in: Friday 14th August 2020. Check in and departure times to be advised.
Start point: Busselton WA
Total Distance: Busselton to Alice Springs total distance 3,954 kms
Daily route:
Friday 14th August - 423 kms (Busselton to Hyden)
Saturday 15th August - 585 kms (Hyden to Norseman)
Sunday 16th August - 529 kms (Norseman to Madura)
Monday 17th August - 669 kms (Madura to Ceduna)
Tuesday 18th August - 468 kms (Ceduna to Port Augusta)
Wednesday 19th August - 555 kms (Port Augusta to Coober Pedy)
Thursday 20th August - 689 kms (Coober Pedy to Alice Springs)
Friday 21st August - (Free day in Alice Springs)
Saturday 22nd August end of ride events:
All States and territories 1/2 hour group ride in Alice Springs on Saturday 22nd August, check in at 9:00am for 9:30am departure, location to be advised.
All states and territories celebration dinner in Alice Springs, 6:00pm Saturday 22nd August, venue to be advised.
Ride Preparation
It is imperative that riders ensure their bike is registered, roadworthy, and in proper working order, ready for the significant distance ride ahead. It is also imperative that riders and pillion passengers are fit and well enough for the journey. Black Dog Ride does not take responsibility for these matters.
From February 2020 Black Dog Ride will be sending Rider Updates via email periodically in the lead-up to the ride. Please read these updates to become aware of the information contained in these updates prior to the ride start.
