Do you really know just how many pubs used to be in Wallsend?
Renata Daniel and Ed Tonks ( local historian, author and speaker) will escort you through Wallsend stopping at all the old spots with huge chunks of history to enjoy and listen to as we bring back some memories of the good ol' days of "time gentlemen please"!
Ed is a wealth of information when it comes to hotels and pubs in the area - he has written several books on the topic ( eg: No Bar to Time)
Bring a hat, water and some good walking shoes - the walking isnt strenuous but moderate fiutness is required.
Meet up spot is at the Fire Station Hotel Corner Nelson Street and Devon Street Wallsend.
Cost is $30 per person
Meet up time is 10am and we will finish around 12noon or just a little before hand.
