Westfield Garden City Child Safety Restraint Check

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Westfield Garden City is joining QPS in raising awareness for Queensland Road Safety Week.

Wearing a properly adjusted restraint reduces the risk of fatal or serious injury by half. On average 31 people are killed and 166 seriously injured on Queensland roads each year as a result of not wearing a seatbelt or an appropriate restraint.

Ensuring children are properly restrained in the car is one of the most important things you can do for their safety and well-being. Buckling-up is one part of the equation, but knowing which type of child restraint is appropriate and how to use it properly, is equally important.

We invite you to Westfield Garden City on Wednesday 28 August to have your child safety restraint checked.

Bookings required*. A check should take no longer than 15 minutes, however if it is required to be re-fitted it may take longer.

Please note, if you arrive late your position may be forfeited.

Located in Orange Car park (under Event Cinemas). Enter off Kessels Road or MacGregor Street.

Missed out? Visit QPS in the Laneway (next to Orange car park) to learn about vehicle safety. Plus they'll be handing out anti-theft, one-way number plate screws for free!

*Ticket is per check.
