Event description

Join Future Women and Westfield for an intimate discussion with Rosie Batty as we take Westfield’s Women In Conversation series to Westfield Carindale.

Rosie Batty knows pain no woman should have to suffer. In 2014, her 11-year-old son Luke was tragically killed by his father after a public cricket game.

Rosie became an outspoken and dynamic crusader against domestic violence, which led her to be named Australian of the Year in January 2015. Since then, Rosie has made the most of her position of influence, campaigning and advocating for necessary systemic and attitudinal change, to address the family violence epidemic.

Hear from Rosie on her recent shift to focus on less public-facing advocacy work and her incredible journey of courage and determination seeming insurmountable obstacles.

Hosted by Future Women’s founding director Helen McCabe.

Join us for a morning of inspiration and meaningful connections with other women. Plus complimentary nibbles and refreshments on arrival, as well as a goody bag including a 6 month RED Future Women membership.
