Two of Melbourne's finest femmes grace us for Word in Hand's last gig of 2019: gender transcendent diva Mama Alto and feminist freewheeler friend Eleanor Jackson!
Expect song, radical softness, and sharp storytelling. Eleanor's set features a musical collaboration with Tom Hogan.

Word in Hand is Sydney’s premier and most diverse performance and storytelling gig, the first Tuesday of every second month at the Red Rattler Theatre in Marrickville. Expect to see poetry, rhyme, song, movement and more by artists from across the nation and the world. Their work will light a fire under your belly and in your heart.

THE VENUE / ACCESS
The Red Rattler has a wide, flat entry and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. There will be drinking water and fans, and if you need assistance getting to / through the gig, please contact us in advance or see crew on the night. We can reserve lounges up the front for better vision / mobility access if you need it. The venue has gender-neutral bathrooms and all genders of story-lovers are welcome.
