Event description

This working group will focus on 'Asset Management Strategy'
(Asset Lifecycle Series)

If your organisation has multiple assets at the heart of the business, you’ll know that an efficient asset management strategy should contribute to better operating results, performance and ultimately improve your bottom line.

An asset management system provides a structured, best practice approach to managing the lifecycle of assets including:

  • Reduced risks associated with ownership of assets – anything from unnecessary maintenance costs and inefficiency to accident prevention
  • Improved quality assurance for customers/regulators – where assets play a key role in the provision and quality of products and services
  • New business acquisition - stakeholders gain confidence from the knowledge that a strategy is in place to ensure assets meet the necessary safety and performance requirements
  • Supports international business growth – demonstrating that the requirements of an internationally recognised asset management system are being met

Some businesses use ISO 55001 to provide clear guidance their asset management system.

Others have established their own systems over time that will tick most, or all the boxes.

Either way, you are better off with some sort of strategy in place.

In this working group we will be investigating the benefits of various Asset Management strategic approaches and sharing best practice.

There are many questions in this space, so come along and share your experiences and learn with your peers as we discuss your Asset Management strategy
