Working Group | Has COVID changed your Supply Chain Strategy

This event has passed Register

Event description

This working group will focus on topic of whether COVID has changed your Supply Chain Strategy

A great question right?

With the disruption that COVID has bought to most supply chains, wouldn’t you assume that changes would come out of this.

You may have bee through the supply shock as your suppliers struggled to deliver. Think overseas supply and labour scarcity then getting product through the ports.

Then there may have been demand shocks, either increased, think home improvement as we spent more time at home or decreased, think carbonated drinks as bars and restaurants closed.

Did you adapt quickly. Has there been lessoned learnt and have you changes your strategy around your supply chain?

Perhaps no longer single source or have you seen the need for better visibility of your demand to reduce the bullwhip effect. A key driver of the bullwhip effect being lack of visibility into the nature of the demand.

Please come along and discuss this topic with other members and see if some insights can be generated to improve your supply chain.
