Writing Abstracts - Getting the 'Moves'

This practical workshop focuses on the ways that abstracts are organised into ‘moves’ for the reader, and the reasons why. It is aimed at research students who need to review important skills and understandings for research reading/writing, and/or those who preparing drafts for submission to refereed journals.

As preparation for this workshop, please bring in at least ten (10+) research readings (hard or soft copies) from your reference list so far: they can be ones you have already read, or ones that you have not read.

You will be asked to write your own draft abstract!
