Spotlight on mental health: batyr showcase program

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join batyr in Mental Health Month to experience our signature program and learn what all the buzz is about. Our programs are unique, engaging, fun and at their core are about young people with a lived-experience of mental ill-health sharing their stories of hope and resilience.

WHEN IS IT?

The event will begin at 6:00pm with an opportunity to meet our amazing Victorian community of staff, speakers and facilitators before the program kicks off at 6:30pm.
*For the safety of our speakers the doors will be closed at 6:40pm.

WHO SHOULD COME?

Anyone who has heard of our work but hasn’t had a chance to experience a program; anyone who wants to support our work; anyone who’s passionate about young people’s mental health and the importance of lived-experience; and, anyone who loves the power of storytelling.

WHO ARE WE?

batyr is a for purpose preventative mental health organisation, created and driven by young people, for young people. We give a voice to the elephant in the room by smashing the stigma around mental ill-health and empowering young people to reach out for support. We help create communities that support young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

REMEMBER:

Talking and hearing about mental health can bring stuff up, so please make sure to check-in with yourself during the event, and step out, take a breath, call a loved one, or do whatever works for you if that happens.
