Event description

Join us for a cultural revival at Riversmith - Margaret River for Sandors Katz's  first appearance in WA. 

Arrive and enjoy wines by Lachlan MacDonald of Vine Collective and settle in for an evening featuring an incredible line up of speakers. 

Sandor Katz will commence the talks speaking on the art, tradition & culture of wild fermentation. 

WA's own Hiroshi Sugihara (of Food Ritual and The Brew Life fame) will discuss how he ferments with koji, demonstrating Doburoku and Amazake. Paul Iskov will talk about the ingredients he preserves to feature on his menus, from garum to miso with a focus on native ingredients. Sharon Flynn and Lachlan MacDonald will join the conversation on the cultures relied upon to work symbiotically within their own business practices. 

There will be tastings throughout the talks and a light grazing table provided to allow time for conversation with the speakers, and - your people!
