Event description

Join friends and colleagues from across the Tasmanian wine and tourism sectors for exceptional wine over fine conversation.

Our tourism and wine sectors have much in common and share aspirations to grow our value through increased yield, while fostering a global reputation for sustainability and quality built on the Tasmanian brand.

BLEND is about bringing our sectors together each year to talk wine tourism.

We want to grow connections across our two sectors and develop a shared vision for Tasmania to become Australia’s premium wine destination. We also want to showcase exceptional Tasmanian wine producers from across the State while enjoying outstanding food and hospitality.

This year’s BLEND will feature our special guest, Emma Brown, from the Brown Family Wine Group

As Marketing Manager of one of Australia’s largest family-run wine producers, Emma has had an extraordinary 12 months overseeing her family’s iconic Brown Brothers operation in Milawa, as well as Devil’s Corner and Tamar Ridge in Tasmania.

How do you operate a cellar door with no visitors? How quickly can you transition online or into other areas? How do you plan ahead for expansion with such uncertainty?

Emma will share her experiences dealing with challenges presented by bushfires and Covid, the lessons learned, and her aspirations for the future of Tasmanian wine tourism.
