Amy Peck, founder of EndeavorVR and current Sr. Director of Enterprise Content at HTC Vive Studios, is in Sydney to discuss the intricacies of AR, VR and XR (Extended Reality) and how it has changed lives and is continuing to shift our futures.

Peck's forte is distilling complex technologies into meaningful solutions across multiple verticals and business lines. Her passion for XR technology will be evident as she chats about her own personal mission of seeing XR become available and accessible to all, and discusses how XR can fundamentally improve every aspect of our lives and change the way we work, learn, communicate and play. 

Priscilla Koukoui, Immersive Digital Solutions Lead & LBVR Founder, will be facilitating the panel of startups from The Studio, as well as with Amy Peck.

Kate Armstrong Smith, Co-Founder & CEO of OmeliaRay Singh, Business Development Manager of Inspace XR, and Allison Reid, Virtual Reality Solutions Architect, will take part in the panel, discussing the importance of the next implementations of technology across a variety of sectors and industries. The different, yet similar, perspectives will spark a great discussion among the tech industry. 

This event is part of the Visiting Entrepreneur Program, produced by the City of Sydney in collaboration with StartCon and The Studio, a creative + tech incubator based in Sydney Startup Hub in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

Amy Peck is Sr. Director of Enterprise Content at HTC Vive Studios. Amy founded EndeavorVR, a leading global XR strategy & consulting firm. She is a recognized thought-leader in the space and speaks globally on the future of XR. She is a venture partner at the Capital Region AR/VR Accelerator, holds several Advisory Board roles and Co-chairs the VRARA Enterprise Committee. Her own personal mission is to see XR fundamentally improve every aspect of our lives with the goal of making this technology accessible and transformative for everyone.

She also consults and leads teams through complex digital and immersive projects: 3D environments, XR (VR & AR), Smart cities for energy, infrastructure, real-estate and transport sectors.

Kate Armstrong Smith, Co-Founder & CEO Omelia

Kate’s team developed a revolutionary new way to model story and are starting to contribute to the next revolution in content creation - emergent interactive narrative which is having an influence on every sector from amateur content creators to Hollywood studios and to special computing operating systems.
Currently advising traditional distributors and production companies on complex story world design, as well as working with new media and gaming companies on interactive narrative Kate and her team have worked with some of the largest content creators in the world including Amazon Studios, Apple Studios, and major gaming companies
She has over 20 years experience in dynamic content development and media asset management for festivals, TV, AR/VR film and Live Events and is the designer of award-winning audience development schemes, holds an MBA in Screen Business and a Churchill Fellowship for focusing on the unique needs of audiences, and how the surging youth content creators are completely changing world culture.

Rayneil Singh, Country Manager Inspace XR

Rayneil leads the team at Inspace XR and continues to work with the world's leading building companies in developing AR/VR applications to improve the way buildings are designed, constructed and sold. Inspace ensures every building is constructed both in virtual reality and in the physical world. This way, they are able to better design, construct and maintain our built environment.

Allison Reid, Virtual Reality Solutions Consultant
Allison Reid is a VR Solutions Consultant, designing and producing immersive, mixed-media experiences for entertainment and learning and development products. She specializes in working with organizations to design, produce, and integrate Virtual Reality training simulations centred on growing empathy and soft skills into enterprise learning and development strategies.

About Darling Square Library: 

Darling Square Library, The City of Sydney’s new hub for learning, innovation and creativity, will open on Monday 28 October in the vibrant new neighbourhood next to Haymarket and Darling Harbour. The library is spread over 2 floors of The Exchange, a stunning building designed by designed by Japanese Architects Kengo Kuma & Associates.
