Fuckup Nights Perth: 2nd Anniversary Edition

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

In 2017 Impact Seed held an end of year event entitled "Impact Startup; Stories & Battle Scars" on making entrepreneurship real and raw, sharing stories of failure.

After that we thought "Hey, telling the truth about failure in public just isn't a thing in WA.. let's make it one!"

That was the genesis of the Fuckup Nights Perth chapter! Come and join us for our 2-year anniversary and Christmas celebration on Wednesday 11th December 2019 as we bring 3 leading speakers to the stage for a fun night sharing stories of failure as we wind down to the holidays.  All proceeds go to a WA social enterprise.

Fuckup Nights is the most active creators movement on the Planet. Over 10,000 people in 300 cities go to fuckup nights to listen to 3 people share their failures. The movement is dedicated to three kinds of people: Those who have failed.. Those who will fail.. and the liars.

BOOK NOW FOR WHAT WILL BE ANOTHER SELLOUT EVENT.. CAPACITY AT THE BRISBANE HOTEL IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 130 ATTENDEES.

Fuckup Nights Perth is brought to you by:

Why Fuckup Nights? Because with #peakstartup, a 90% failure rate, and all the talk of motivation and positivity, there’s something missing.. talking about failure, and learning from sharing stories of failure! Free your failures, Perth will thank you!

HOW IS IT DONE?
In every Fuckup Night 3 speakers tell their failure story explaining:
What was the project?
What went wrong?
What did they learn?
What would they do differently?

Each speaker tells their story in 10 images (~40 seconds per image, ~6mins total) followed by Q&A.

At the end of the speakers’ stories, attendees are welcome to stick around and network over drinks.

Previous Fuckup Night speakers have varied from social entrepreneurs, tech founders, and even a doctor who a few years ago opened an adult shop that went broke.

Just so you get an idea, Fuckup Nights is something between a party and a casual business conference :)
