Bonnie Lin - Advisor, Investor, Speaker
Bonnie is an advisor, investor and speaker with 20 years of international experience in technology, manufacturing, and government. She works with corporates, family offices, and governments in Asia and Australia on innovation investment strategy, including venture capital, impact investment, and technology-led economic development.
Bonnie’s background includes dot com PR in Silicon Valley with the tech giants of today, cross-border M&A in China, and R&D grants in the US. As a 4x founder, Bonnie has advised and mentored over 70 entrepreneurs and business leaders, including coaching Shark Tank startups. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, social innovation, and women in leadership.
Bonnie will share her fuckup stories in angel investing, running a family business, and surviving 3 recessions in the face of personal tragedy.
Daniel Stacey - Chief Development Officer, Minderoo
Our second speaker for this special 2nd anniversary Fuckup Night Perth is now confirmed, this is going to a hell of an end of year edition! Daniel Stacey works across the $8bn Minderoo Group and $1.5bn Minderoo Foundation to help incubate and develop new philanthropic initiatives and commercial opportunities, including helping to develop and launch Minderoo’s ocean conservation and emerging technology initiatives.
He was previously senior correspondent for South Asia with theWall Street Journal, where he reported on a wide range of topics from India’s space program to the disappearance of MH370, following stints at the ABC and Financial Times Group.
Daniel will discuss an early career fuckup – the ultimate decline of his first company, a small publishing business launched in London 10 years ago that owned and operated the doomed publication Bad Idea Magazine.
Lindsay O'Sullivan - Chief Operating Officer, Keystart
Lindsay O'Sullivan is a seasoned strategy and operations executive who has worked in Australia and the UK, including in key leadership roles at the Chamber of Commerce & Industry WA, Bankwest, Herbert Smith Freehills, and NAB.
From managing geographically diverse teams of up to 800 people, and advising on trade and investment and innovation policy to full P&L responsibility for a $100M enterprise and the digital transformation of legacy businesses, Lindsay has no shortage of stories about failures and learnings, especially in light of managing a consumer driven financial services business in in a post-Royal Commission world. A 2012 Business News 40 Under 40 winner and a Leadership WA alumnus, Lindsay is also the Deputy Chair of Fringe World Festival and a director of IT consultancy, Veev Group.
