Calling all students and young professionals in STEM! A biomedical and biotechnology industry event – for a cause.

Will you be the brains behind the next biomedical start up? Do you have the out of the box thinking to engineer solutions to unmet health care demands? Will your scientific research be a stepping-stone to the next big medical advance? From clinical trials to patients – how can your skills fit in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries?

We want to empower you, the next generation of diverse STEM leaders. This event is your chance to hear about the innovative work of inspiring leaders in the fields of Biotechnology and Biomedical, and meet with leading STEM companies and professionals.

Keynote Speakers 

· Dr Marguerite Evans-Galea, PhD: Executive Director of the Industry Mentoring Network in STEM with the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering, co-founder and CEO of Women in STEMM Australia, and an independent consultant in cell and gene therapies

· Prof Jan Tennent: CEO of Biomedical Research Victoria, the premier voice for linking medical research to clinical care in Victoria

· Elise Sutherland: Recent graduate and CEO and Co-founder of Stelect, a medtech start-up

Not only are we celebrating STEM but we supporting a worthy cause: 100% of all proceeds of this event will be donated to redkite, a vital charity that provides financial and social support to children diagnosed with cancer, and the families that support them.

  • The venue is accessible via public transport (59 Tram) and car. Limited street and meter parking is available in the surrounding suburbs.
