With the emergence of Blockchain technology, a number of industries are exploring its potential to disrupt established business models and processes

The Australasian Blockchain Music Association (ABMA) presents an event, How Blockchain will impact the Music Industry by showcasing Music Startups who are developing and have already brought products to market

The ABMA brings together groundbreaking startups in a panel discussion to explore what Blockchain will mean for the music industry, the challenges the startups faced in developing their products and how the music community can all realise benefits from this emerging technology

It promises to be an informative, engaging and fun session!

The ABMA brings members from across the region to advance the understanding of Blockchain Technology in the music and creative industries. We work with and across all stakeholders in the industry to foster discussion and promote thought on how the music industry can harness the potential of Blockchain Technology to develop benefits across the sector

Our announced panelists are:

Dave Goode - Potbelleez, Gazecoin

Dave Goode is Co-founder of award winning music act ‘The Potbelleez’. A career spanning almost 20 years in content creation, music production, recording, publishing, touring, As an artist, Dave has been awarded 3 multi Platinum and 2 Gold records by the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA), as well as 2 APRA/AMCOS awards for Best Dance Works in 2009 and 2012 which seen Dave inducted as a APRA/AMCOS ambassador, Dave is also director of music publishing company MCDJ Music (in JV with Universal Publishing).

Harris Meitanis - ACTA

Harris Meitanis is an experienced entertainment and events industry professional based in Sydney, Australia. Harris graduated with Honours in Law from the prestigious University of Hertfordshire (UK) in 1995 and The University of Technology Sydney in 1999 before being admitted as a legal practitioner in 2000. After an initial stint working within the UK Music Industry, he came back to Australia in 2002 and set up the entertainment division of Consolidated Lawyers. From 2004 onwards, he moved onto launching his own recording studio, record label, publishing company, talent agency and event company whilst continuing to consult for some of Australia’s most loved celebrities

Andrew Melick - Zimrii

Andrew is the partnership manager for Zimrii - A music tokenisation platform enabling artists to exploit their brand and build fan loyalty through digital music tokens developed via the blockchain. Andrew has forged a successful career in business developing new products and partnerships within several industries.
