Fox & Hare presents:

INVEST GOOD. DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. 🌱

Navigating ethical choices in a complex world

Sponsored by Beta Shares

It’s cool to be kind.

The world is telling us there will soon be more plastic in the ocean than fish (yikes). The impact of climate change will soon be irreversible and one third of all food produced is lost or wasted. How can we change the world one small decision at a time?

Can we buy the future we want? How do you make purchasing decisions that fit your values and ethics? Do the businesses and brands you buy from consider human rights, environmental impact and renewable energy in their supply chain?

Let’s face it, ethics are tricky, what is ethical to you may be different to me. This event is all about navigating the complex world of making decisions that feel right for you, and the planet.

Over the course of the evening you will hear from three inspiring leaders to help you consider your own ethical beliefs. Whether you’re investing your super, shopping up a storm or sipping your morning latte we’ve got news for you; you CAN change the world by putting your money where your ethics are.

1. Cris Parker, Head of The Ethics Alliance, The Ethics Centre - Cris Parker works in the area of ethics within both the banking and finance sector and business more broadly. Cris is a driving force behind two of Australia’s most profound initiatives working to bring ethics into everyday professional life. She is a community of organisations of every size, type, and sector that are connected through The Ethics Centre to collaboratively shape the future of business with ethics.

2. Gordon Renouf, Co Founder of Good On You - Gordon Renouf is the CEO and co-founder of Good On You, the world's most comprehensive brand rating system and online discovery platform for fashion. Good On You’s independent ethical brand ratings solve a real problem for the millions of consumers looking to shop better and the retailers looking to reach them. He is currently a non executive director on the boards of Justice Connect, Good Environmental Choice Australia and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.

3. Melanie Mokken, Market Development Manager Australia/New Zealand, The Rainforest Alliance - Melanie is passionate about sustainability, love of coffee and her not-so-guilty pleasure in chocolate. Living and traveling through Southern Africa, she experienced the big gap between the origin and market space of our everyday products, and the need for sustainable supply chains from farm to shelf. Melanie now supports Australian and New Zealand companies for both pre-merger UTZ and Rainforest Alliance in building connected supply chains through the traceability of products; and helps in developing a sustainability story that resonates with their business and brand values.

*All profits are donated to our partnered charity School for Life 📗
