Mastering the Art of Impact Storytelling

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Impact storytelling is the lifeblood of start-ups. It’s one of the most important ways your organisation connects with new and existing customers, shares your achievements, and articulates your impact. It’s how you generate compassion, understanding and empathy to drive your business forward and deliver on your purpose.

However, storytelling is as much an art as a science. And with limited budgets and resources, it can be challenging to get your story heard in a crowded marketplace.

At The Funding Network (TFN), our mission is to enable grassroots non-profits and purpose-driven businesses to access the capital, skills, connections and resources they need to thrive. Since 2013, we’ve coached over 900 social entrepreneurs in the art of storytelling, enabling them to engage new audiences, grow their support base and expand access to funding and revenue streams.

In partnership with Canva and the Sydney School of Social Entrepreneurship, we’re delivering a special impact storytelling workshop for Spark Festival attendees. This seminar will be an interactive experience that offers tools, lessons, resources and best-practice examples on how to craft engaging stories that spark a connection with your audience and grow your influence.

What the seminar will cover:

  • The fundamental techniques of impact storytelling – and how to put them into practise
  • How to identify and craft immersive stories that capture your impact and engage your audience
  • How to use impact storytelling to stand out in a digital world
  • How to identify the right format for your story for maximum impact

Who should attend this event?

At The Funding Network, we typically coach social entrepreneurs and leaders working in the for-purpose space. As part of Spark Festival, we're inviting anyone who wants to sharpen their storytelling skills and learn how to identify, capture and structure compelling stories that will connect with an audience to join us for an immersive workshop.

The seminar will help turn your thinking into a clear, memorable and unforgettable story. You can expect to walk away with the skills and confidence to craft impactful stories and powerful narratives to demonstrate outcomes and impact that influence supporters, funders and partners.

Tea, coffee and a light breakfast will be served.
