MATES in Construction NSW Annual Charity Lunch – Friday 28 September 2018
MATES is a charity formed by the construction industry to provide awareness and support to workers of the importance of suicide prevention and mental health wellbeing. As a charity MATES needs continuous support to ensure the delivery of this important industry program.
Unfortunately, the reality is we lose a construction worker every second day to suicide nationally! Together, we can make a significant difference to these shocking figures. To date, data suggests suicide in the industry is reducing as a result of “Mates helping Mates”, but we still have a long way to go.
The purpose of the lunch is to raise awareness of MATES and to seek sponsorship and donations to help MATES continue with this important industry prevention strategy. All funds raised go towards ensuring MATES are supporting your employees and their families.
