Event description

Once you realise that over $80 billion of grant funding is distributed across Australia every year, it makes perfect sense that many causes are turning to grants as a cost-effective solution to meet their funding needs.

In establishing your own grants program, you certainly want to be sure that you’re preparing high quality applications that have every chance of success. But as you know, the world of grants is not for the faint at heart, as a fundraising strategy they are incredibly time consuming, require a specialised skill set and long term vision.

From years of experience, we know that the ability to craft a winning grant application is something that every successful organisation MUST learn.

And that’s why we've created this workshop...

Through this three hour interactive workshop that delivers practical strategies and hands on learning in a collaborative environment, our specialists in non-profit strategy and impact storytelling will teach you:

  • How to adopt a strategic approach towards a grants program that ties in with your organisational goals;
  • How to identify and package your funding needs;
  • The trademark Grant’d process of merging strategy, data and story together to create quality applications; and
  • How to write an attention-grabbing application that clearly showcases your project’s potential for impact.

You'll emerge from this workshop having uncovered your hidden capacity to confidently develop quality applications that - without question - put your organisation's best foot forward.

Meet Your Host

Janine Owen, Founder and Chief Impact Officer

As a social impact and cause-driven strategist, Janine has a passion for helping causes establish a clear competitive advantage, amplify their social impact, and become the change they seek in the world.

With a background in social work, PR, fundraising, and marketing, Janine further honed her experience during 16 years at the helm of diverse fundraising and marketing campaigns for some of Australia’s most loved charities. During this time, Janine came to realise the profound impact she has had on the organisations she worked for - and driven by a desire to help many more, Janine launched the consultancy agency Raised Collective in 2017.

In delivering Raised’s consultancy services, Janine then identified a growing struggle amongst resource-poor charities to secure the necessary funding for their valuable work to continue. Clearly, a low-cost, high ROI solution was needed. It was in this context which Janine launched Grant’d in early 2019.

Having generated more than $18 million for the causes she has worked with to date, Janine and her team are determined to change the world, one cause at a time.

Joining Janine will be our Grant'd team of Impact Storytellers who will act as your mentors throughout the practical, hands on sections of the workshops.
