About Brad and Eden Jersak
We would like to invite you to enjoy a weekend of teaching and encouragement with Brad and Eden Jersak.
Brad has had a unique faith journey through a variety of styles of Christianity beginning in the Baptist Church (US), and studying Biblical Studies at an evangelical Bible college, then joining the Mennonite church in Canada and serving as a youth and young adults Pastor, before planting and pastoring a charismatic church for 10 years. Brad then did a PhD in Theology followed by a Post Doc in Patristic Theology. He is now a chrismated and tonsured Reader in the Orthodox Church (Canada). Brad's depth and breadth of experience means he is well served to speak across a variety of faith expressions, and one of the admirable things about Brad is his ability to see and celebrate the beauty and richness of each tradition while also being aware of the blind spots.
In my own faith journey, Brad has been one of the most helpful and influential thinkers in re-grounding me in the rich theology of the Early Church Fathers, helping me re-imagine a more beautiful faith, and inspiring me to creatively lead a church the seeks to anchor itself in our rich faith tradition while exploring new ways of being God's people together for today.

Central Church Port Kembla
At Central we want to keep life uncluttered so we try and keep things simple. We're not perfect or polished nor do we have great programs, but we do want to grow in our love of God, be a committed, passionate faith community and reach the people of Wollongong who are looking for God and want to express their faith in a simple, meaningful way. Central is a safe space to explore, question and practice spirituality, to learn how to belong in messy, beautiful community, and get active alongside others in bringing God's kingdom to earth.
