Event description

STEAM for Educators: Crafting with Electronics

Wearable electronics, soft-circuits, e-textiles, or smart fabrics – however you look at it wearable technology is a fascinating new area that combines fashion, art, science, design, and engineering. For teachers and educators, it’s an ideal way to introduce students to projects that involve hands-on making, circuit-building and hardware programming.

Crafting with Electronics is a free monthly meet-up run by The Learning Space, encouraging hands-on making, experimentation, and skills sharing. This special edition for Spark Fest is aimed at supporting teachers or educators to get started in this exciting field of emerging tech.

Guests will take away basic materials to get started on their own Wearable Technology projects. Costs cover materials.

Places are limited. Bookings essential.
