Perth Trail Series: Wallygrunta Summer Series Event 2

This event has passed Register

Event description

Trail Running through Walyunga National Park! Join us for a 4.1km or 9.4km or 13.6km fun filled trail run.

Whether you're back for another round in the "Summer Series" or brand new to trail running, this event is not to be missed! We get adventurous types who've accomplished plenty of other fitness achievements maybe a half, full or even ultra marathon! Trails are fun and open to everyone.

We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! We'll also have assistants at key intersections to help you stay on track, and giving out high 5's!

Not only that, but we've got a quirky "Where's Wally" theme, and an awesome community that make our events so special.

Courses will be well flagged - and marshalled at a few key intersections. We will do our best to keep you on course, but it is your responsibility to keep aware of the flagging.

FAQs:

What am I required to bring?

1. You must carry a hydration system that will hold a minimum of 500ml for the duration of the event. This could be a handheld, a pack, or a waist belt. We recommend most runners carry at least 1 ltr.

2. You must wear your race bib at all times during the event.

3. A positive, prepared for anything attitude!

What will I be running on?

Course Description: The second race of the series gets you started on the serious hills. These tracks are mostly quite wide, which will allow competitors easy passing opportunities and gorgeous views from the hilltops, particularly on the highest sections (the BLACK course naturally gives you more climbs, so more viewing opportunities). An abundance of kangaroos in this park may provide some happy distraction from your bursting lungs.

Is there an Aid Station?

Green Course: One.

Blue and Black Course: Two. The first is at approximately 4 km's, providing water. The second is at approximately 11km (Black) and 8km (Blue), providing water and carbohydrates in the form of ELECTROLYTE and organic fruit.

Note: Disposable cups are NOT provided at our events. All runners are provided with their very own reusable silicone collapsable cup. Be sure to collect your cup with your bib if it's your first event. If you've lost your cup, let us know. 15 ltr water jugs are provided at the finish line, so have your cup handy!

Race bib pickup for Wallygrunta is on Sunday 6 January 2019 (event day) at the Start/Finish area from 6:00am - 6:50am
