Responding to a gap in the market, Zoe launched Kindred Warrior in September 2019. Born from a desire to bring wellness and a sense of belonging to the community, Zoe's vision was to create a space for kindred souls to come together and experience the benefits of yoga.
Zoe has an immense appreciation for the breath, and for building our capacity to put a pause before our reactions. She incorporates pranayama into her classes, aiding students to bring mind and body together through the focus on breath.
Having practiced Yoga on and off over the past 20 years, it was in 2014 that she enrolled in a 4 week beginners course to take her back to the foundations of yoga. From there her practice grew from strength to strength, eventually leading her to complete her 200hr Teacher Training Byron Yoga Centre in 2017, completing an additional 300 hrs Level 2 in 2018. She has also completed 50hr Yin training with Byron Yoga Centre and Restorative Yoga Training, and in 2019 embarked on Parayoga Master Trainings with Yogarupa Rod Stryker. Zoe is registered with Yoga Australia.
Learning to meditate as a child, Amy first found Hatha Yoga in her late teens and was captivated by movement with breath. Chronic illness in her thirties drew her to the deep healing practices of yoga nidra and restorative yoga. After two decades in senior corporate roles, Amy’s passion is creating space to slow from the stresses of modern life.
Drawing from ancient practices and modern science, Amy is formally trained in music, sound therapy and working with varied audiences. She has completed over 500 hours of study in yoga, yoga nidra and mindfulness meditation both in Australia and India. Her yoga nidra training is under both the traditional lineages of the Bihar and Amrit.
Amy is registered with Yoga Alliance International and is also a certified Heartmath Coach and Mentor with the HeartMath Institute California USA. Founder of House of Yogin that creates wellbeing experiences based on yoga, sound therapy, meditation and neuroscience, she facilitates across yoga studios, corporate businesses, military veteran and first responder communities across Victoria.
