Event description

A spectacular event with a three course sit down dinner, dedicated to celebrate the Australian State’s collective efforts to address the issue of modern slavery and human trafficking in Australia.

Two Guest Speakers:

> Rebecca Mills - Dept of Home Affairs  Rebecca and her team are responsible for rolling our the new Modern Slavery Act.  The new Modern Slavery Commonwealth Legislation and NSW Modern Slavery ACT will both impact your workplace and it will help the lives of slaves globally.  We will be providing our guests with information on how it will roll out across our States and change the way business is done in Australia.

> Katie Lang - an Australian Survivor of Slavery. Katie went to a private school in Sydney and was groomed and lured into a sex trafficking gang on the Gold Coast. Her story is compelling.

All proceeds from the night will directly help victims of slavery in Australia, helping us continue our wrap around support and work ready programs in our Survivor School. Our goal will be to increase our capacity to help more, and it will help us raise the awareness needed to fight this crime.

We will also be launching our new Ethical Business School - running training for businesses how to write the modern slavery statement and embrace the new human rights and business movement.

Together Australia CAN be the first country in the world to abolish slavery.

This event promises be an informative evening of selected entertainment, a sit down three course meal with wine and a spectacular live auction, live music and all in the surrounds of our very own stunning Freedom Hub Venue in Waterloo.
