This working group will focus on 'The Skills Matrix – How to use effectively'
The skills matrix has been around for many years and is a visual tool that lets you easily see the key skills and competency level within a department.
Automotive plants normally use these effectively, but may others have yet to deploy this tool to gain its maximum effectiveness.
A skills matrix is a piece of the puzzle of building a competent team so in this working group meeting we will discuss areas such as;
- Clearly articulating the purpose of a skills matrix (it may not be what you think)
- How a skills matrix is put to use
- Ownership of the skills matrix
- Development plans around the skills matrix
- What to do when you have sufficient coverage of key skills
We will draw upon the experience of those attending this event as well as our facilitator to provide some key insights for you to deploy back into your organisation.
Our events are an excellent forum for networking and engaging in 'peer to peer' learning with other members. To get the most out of the event you need to attend the event with a willingness to contribute to group discussions.
Who should attend?
This event is ideal for leaders of teams in any functional area of a business.
As a member of IPA you can register up to 2 people, subject to availability, to attend this event. This event is for IPA members only, there will be no public access to this event.
When do I need to register by?
Registrations close 2 days prior to event date.
Registrations are based on a "first come, first served" basis.
There are no allocated seats with membership.
