Event description

We at The Grove welcome you to join with us in our second Dojo, another playful prototype following the wonderful success of the first one. The Dojo is 'a house of practice, a place for pursuit of the Way'. Dojo is a place where The Grove, a community of practitioners, change agents, innovators, intrapreneurs, leaders and active members of civil society, meets to learn through practice.

Here's what some participants from our first Dojo said:

"Loved it.. I really enjoyed the experience and opportunity to connect on a more intimate level"

"I took away the willingness to step into the space for deeper conversation, more aware that it's not so difficult to create this in day to day life"

"The Dojo is a conscious connected community experiment"

"It's a place you can go to 'work out' your mind, body and interpersonal skills, in the company of others doing the same

Learning new ways of doing and being is increasingly vital as we seek to meet the challenges of today, and co-create the emerging future. A distinct feature of The Grove’s Dojo is our intention to learn by doing, in a supportive environment with others.   We can then move into other places, where we do our work within organisations, groups and communities better equipped to bring new possibilities and potentialities into being.

In this Dojo, we will explore "Longing to belong? Resilient communities matter". This is inspired by our previous Dojo, where the lingering qualities of expression were of our yearning and imperative to cultivate and deepen our experiences and our practices of being in communities in which we can be fully seen and heard, and in which we can learn to co-create and live in collaboration with others and all of life.

These ideas are important to reflect on and consider.  They are even more powerful and challenging to practice and embody. This is what we invite you to experience and join with us in practicing at this Dojo.
